Francois-Louis Michaud - European Central Bank

François-Louis Michaud is Deputy Director General at the European Central Bank, in the directorate general responsible for the supervision of the largest European banks (DGMS1). He joined the ECB in March 2014, as Deputy Director General for horizontal and specialised topics (DGMS4). Previously, he was Deputy Director Banking Supervision at Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution in France. From 2005 to 2009, François-Louis worked at the Bank for International Settlements, in Basel, as a Senior Economist and as the Secretary to the Markets Committee. Prior to that, he had various roles at the Banque de France, in banking supervision (1996-2000) and in financial stability (2000-2004), and was seconded to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (2004-2005). François-Louis graduated in Economics, Finance and Philosophy.
